Bonjour everybody! Currently I am in Downtown Toronto for a work trip and boy oh boy is this place different from Vancouver or what? I feel like a couple of Drake references are compulsory to make this post complete haha.

It is amazing here! Such a magnificent city life with vibrant and diverse people. The only thing I'm not too keen about is the weather. How do I put this in a short-term? It's boiling here. Granted that it is the summer time so I get the 28 degrees thing.

Coming from the West Coast I totally expected a difference but nevertheless, I'm still able to identify this place as a part of Canada with all the Tim Horton locations and the amount of people saying 'sorry' when you accidentally bump into them.

The food is fantastic! Lots to choose from since it is a big city! The work team and I headed out to Nando's for dinner during one of our nights and I think it's safe to say that everyone enjoyed it. Seriously, if you haven't had Nando's  yet, please close your computer, laptop, or whatever electronic device you're using and google a Nando's near you. I promise, if you love chicken, then this will be the best decision you make.

Next to the heat, traffic was also slightly crazy. To be fair though, I'm a bit claustrophobic when driving so perhaps I was just the only one that thought it was crazy. We used Uber everywhere which was quite efficient!

For all the shopaholics out there, Eaton Centre is your one stop shop! I spent a short while there but was very satisfied with the store options. Definitely a place for any shopaholic! 😉

The streetcars in Downtown Toronto surprised me quite a bit. They're like buses on train tracks. Oh and they stop in the middle of the road so be careful when hopping on and off!

Also, word of advice, do not go last-minute shopping for souvenirs. It's guaranteed stress and frustration. Your better off going to the airport early and shopping at duty-free.

Overall, I had a great time in the city!

Till next time Toronto!
