Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, food, beauty and work-related projects. There's a lot that goes on so stay tuned for the escapades to come!

Style Palette: Swerving into Spring

Style Palette: Swerving into Spring

The weather here in Vancouver has been unpredictably chaotic. It's currently March, yet we're still getting crazy amounts of unexpected snow :(. I am sooooo ready for sunny days and umbrella-less trips around the city! It also doesn't help with styling when you have to always layer or plop on a big coat over your favorite top.

My current obsessions have been plaid and denim shirts - especially long sleeves! It's craaaazy how many ways you can wear this kind of a shirt. My top three favorite ways are:

  • Loose top: pair it with any black or white shirt and leave the buttons open! Casual & Chic!
  • Button to the top: button the shirt all the way up or 3/4 way for a more 'put together' kind of look!
  • Lowkey Cochella: Feeling edgy? Wrap the shirt around your waist (pair with black leggings and shirt). Bonus! It makes your waist look more curvy and your bum bigger (woohoo for style illusions!).

Let's talk accessories! I posted some Snapchat and Instagram stories and nearly had a dozen questions asked about the necklaces I wore in the above photo. I bought all the neck jewelry from Forever 21 and H&M. I don't have the longest neck in the world so it was a bit tricky when it came to layering the necklaces. Matter of fact, I actually had to break apart the hooks on one of them to make the chain smaller *sigh* small people problem lol! My earrings are from Ardene, I'm literally obsessed with these earrings! I can wear them casual or fancy, they look great with any outfit! Finally, the California bracelet was a gift from my brother from our recent trip to LA!

I hope this post inspires you to splash some color into your daily wardrobe and to accessorize as your heart desires! Don't be afraid to do or wear something different, after all, "style is a way to say who you are without having to speak." - Rachel Zoe. ♥
